I have been listening the the series in order, and have been enjoying the books very much. The narrator does a very good job voicing the various people, especially the main characters. Love the way she makes Roarke say, "Darlin' Eve"!
This has been the most exciting story line so far. The build-up of tension while trying to stop more mass mayhem in the city is riveting. I particularly enjoyed seeing Peabody's personal story line become more humanized and complex.
An enjoyable element of the books is the larger-than-life action and formula, and all the high-tech toys used to help with the solutions so that there is a James-Bondish air about the stories. One can be sure when one picks up one of the J. D. Robb books, fun will be had by all!Get more detail about Loyalty in Death (In Death, No. 9).
