Trenton's bounty hunting gal Stephanie Plum is tired of having her car blown up, her apartment broken into, being shot at and stalked by assorted bad guys, so she decides to hang up her career and seeks less life threatening employment. She turns her job over to her gal pal Lulu, a flamboyant, gravitationally challenged former hooker you just gotta love.
In no time at all Lulu is captured by a bail jumper and is handcuffed to a bed rail, naked. And though she tries various jobs, someone wants Stephanie back in the game. She is stalked and shot at by someone who leaves her threatening notes, all things she wanted to leave behind in her new life.
