Where To Buy Distant Shores

This book was going along so well until the ending. It was too fast, it left some things dangling. I wanted to see what the consequences were for some of Jack's choices.

In a marriage you do have your ups and downs. Sometimes it seems that one partner gives more than the other but it shouldn't always be like that. It seemed to me that Elizabeth was always giving and Jack . . .well he was always taking. She wants a separation. She wants to find herself. She felt as though she lost who she was and wanted to invest in herself. She just wanted a break. They had married so young and she never really got to define herself.

They took a break of course. It wasn't even a real separation. The daughters are naturally distraught about the whole business and why shouldn't they be? Seems like some of his friends act like he let a good woman go and that he made a bad choice.

Once again the man realizes that what he thought he wanted really isn't what he wanted at all. Jack did something pretty bad because he wanted too because it was part of his dream and yet he didn't seem to suffer for it. Sure Elizabeth could have but she didn't. What were his consequences? I guess the biggest question would be how can they rebuild their marriage on a lie? That choice that he made should haunt him forever.

Because of these issues I could only give this book a rating of 2 1/2 stars but then amazon doesn't do 1/2 stars.Get more detail about Distant Shores.
